ABOUT THE GAME
---------------------------------------------
The aim of the game is to drive your speedster
around the course three times without flipping
the car over.
You can have up to two human players plus
computerized ones. It has lots of built-in tracks
to race on and a level editor for when even that
isn't enough.
---------------------------------------------
LEGALESE
---------------------------------------------
I do not accept responsibility for any effects,
adverse or otherwise, that this game may have on
you, your computer, your sanity, your dog, and
anything else that you can think of. Use it at
your own risk.
---------------------------------------------
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------
You probably need a Pentium class machine to run
this game. The game has been tested under
Windows 95 and MS-DOS.
---------------------------------------------
HOW TO PLAY
---------------------------------------------
You must drive your car as fast as you can around
the course. You must pass over the dotted
checkpoints in the proper order. Each player has
a little flashing dot of their own colour that
guides them to their next checkpoint.
Control is with the keyboard and the keys for
player one are:
caps-lock, left-shift = forwards
(both at once gives turbo)
tab = reverse
x,c = left / right
The keys for player two are:
less-than, greater-than = forwards
(both at once gives turbo)
cursor-up = reverse
cursor-left, cursor-down = left / right
If you do not like my choices then use the options
menu to change the keys whatever you prefer.
When your car turns upside-down, you should let go
of the keyboard for about half a second and then
your car will be turned up the right way so you
can keeping going.
If you are going too fast, then letting go of all
the keys for a short time causes your emergency
brake to kick in.
---------------------------------------------
TIME BONUSES AND PENALTIES
---------------------------------------------
Players get a time penalty of three seconds every
time they drive off the edges of the screen in a
two player game.
Running over the little faces gives you a time
bonus of one second.
Because of penalties, the first person across the
finish line may not be the winner! You can always
tell who has the most penalties by the little
number above each player's car. When the
penalties of the player cars are equal, no number
is shown.
